Future-proof, hyperconvergent infrastructure

VMware infrastructure oversees a smooth transition from old architecture without any disruption to users

Founded in Milan in 1961, the Institute of Pharmacological Research Mario Negri (IRCCS) is a non-profit biomedical research institute.

For years it planned to upgrade its IT infrastructure to better support the applications underpinning its clinical trials, and the arrival of the pandemic made it imperative to develop fast. Ricoh has implemented a hyper-convergent VMware infrastructure, overseeing a smooth transition from the old architecture without any disruption to users.

“We involved several suppliers and we asked each of them to develop a project that not only had to meet our needs, but also had to be strictly within our available budget. Ricoh achieved this without sacrificing the quality or performance of the new environment and managed to build appropriately sized infrastructure based on our requirements”.
